Mark Leavenworth, Waterbury, Conn, "Pillar & Scroll", wood movement shelf clock, 1-day time and bell strike, C.1825
CONDITION:
importantly this has a proper Leavenworth movement w/ period brass faced pendulum, plus an outstanding dial and good label. However there are significant restorations to the case; both scrolls are replaced, skirt and feet are replaced, door escutcheon missing, and the finials are painted pot metal; reverse tablet done by an amateur and top section of case back replaced. Seems to tick and strike fine. Estimate reflects restorations. Label with 1920 census and postage rates. Ht 31.5"
